I first started liking Mugetsu before The Bouncer was even out, although I don't know if you can call that "liking" (maybe "being interested" would be a better choice of words). On a message board I used to frequent, someone had his face as an avatar and he immediately struck me as a very interesting and cool-looking character.
Later, when The Bouncer came out, I remembered that it had this "cool looking guy" in it, and after reading some more info about the game, we thought with my sister that we might as well give it a try. And no matter what people say, I think The Bouncer rocked. :D It's definitely one of my favourite games, and we've beaten it about 50 times now (we've counted). And Mugetsu is by far my favourite character of the game, and he's the only character I play outside the story-mode.

Anyway, why Mugetsu? To tell the truth, I don't know myself. It's nothing particular that makes me like him, more like a combination of many little things. One of those things is that he's very unique of a character; not many video game characters are truly (or at least that brilliantly) insane. It's like game designers are afraid of going all the way to make an insane character, but it's quite obvious that they didn't hold back when creating Mugetsu. Also, there's something Ninja-ish about him - he's agile, sneaky and slick - and I've always had a thing for Ninjas (who wouldn't?). This leads to the fact that his fighting style is very different compared to the others. Again, unlike with other characters, the designers seem to have really invested in creating Mugee an impudent fighting style that would match his insanity. Another thing I like about him is his voice. Bob Marx plays Mugetsu with such enthusiasm, you can really tell when he's pissed, when he's going insane and when he's just enjoying the moment. It really distinguishes him from the rest of the characters (not saying that the voice acting of the other characters is bad, just more traditional).
Also, Mugetsu is just beautiful. I know a lot of people don't agree with me on this, but that's what I think. How can I not love that childlike white-as-a-sheet face, his big and feline eyes, his slender (and apparently spineless) build and that wild hairdo? Say what you want, but Mugetsu is definitely one of the yummy-yummiest people (real or fictional) ever. XD
In any case, I love mugetsu, I really do. Someone might say that I have no life, wasting my time on such silly things as a website to a fictional character, but I think he really deserves it - even if he's that important to me only.
